This track is the journey of a young man, who aspires to be a writer. To pursue this dream he needed money, so he worked and scavenged for all the money he could. He was left with 1,000 dollars and a dream; a dream to be a writer and influence others who come up from a similar situation to him: broke, casted away, with nothing but a dream. This was his purpose and he was finally ready to pursue it. He took his pen and as he began to write he heard a loud shatter of glass, in his small apartment complex. Next cake a barrage of footsteps one after another. He knew that something was up, so he ran out through his fire escape, and called for a cab. Right as he thought he was safe, he saw the cab driver staring straight at him, with a look of envy. This alarmed him, but he thought it was fine, until he noticed the cab driver reaching for his money. This caused him to break through the window, and start running for his life. While running he still saw the hint of yellow in the back of his eye chasing him. The cab driver eventually backs him in a corner, where there is no escape. The cab driver takes his gun out, and as the man gets ready for the impact he hears a shot. Following the shot, was the thump of a heavy body unto him. He was relieved to know he was still alive, and looked to his left to see the cop that saved him. The cop got him up, and was ready to take him to safety until, BANG, another shot was fired. This time it was aimed straight at the boy, but he was again found with no harm done to him. The cop took the whole force of the bullet for him, and told him to run. He heeded his words and ran as fast he could. He ran into a big crowd of people and bought to hide his face and money. He bought a train ticket that would lead him to the next town. He thought he was free, and decided to take a nap. While he was asleep, he was taken by some of the mob who were able to get on the train. He woke up, jumped, was beaten and left for dead. They stabbed him straight in the back which left him bleeding out. He knew he did not have much time to live, but he still wanted a chance to live his dream. He took out the knife that he was stabbed with and wrote his story on the bloody concrete floor. He wrote of the importance of valuing life above our “precious” dollar. He saw firsthand what greed could lead to. Let’s not let his death be in vain, let’s value life over money and glory. Too many people have died, over our constant greed and desire for worldly possessions. When will this stop? It can’t until we step up and change ourselves. The Price of a life is worth more than anything else God made on this earth. Don't forget it!!!!!!!!! It’s more than music………… It’s life
